More Mori Girl Outfits!!!

I haven't really been dressing up lately out of pure laziness, so I sometimes sporadically try to wear mori girl whenever I can. I can already tell that this blog post will be boring since I haven't done anything extremely fascinating ever in a while, sorry! I wore this first outfit on a really wet and rainy day and I kept getting worried that my long skirt was going to get muddy... not good... not smart. My friend Katti was smart and did not wear mori girl that day, but I had to find out the hard way.

Cardigan: Forever 21
Skirt: Thrifted
Dress: Off-brand

That day I ate rice and the fake bulgogi that I cooked.
It was actually really good.

The next outfit was for a day when my best friend Katti and I decided to not be apartment hermits and go out and do something. We went to two thrift stores and we also walked around at a really bland (cultural???) event downtown. I actually took a lot of photos that day, but I accidentally deleted them. However, I got one decent photo of my outfit, and Katti took a photo of me making a weird face at one of the thrift stores (see below). We didn't buy anything because both Katti and I were kind of broke, but we did get green tea frappuccinos after our outing and they tasted really good. That whole day was really nice.

Blouse: Christmas gift from Katti
(It was tea dyed by her special hands!)
Tote bag and skirt: Off-brand

I'm never going to be photogenic,
but with Microsoft paint anyone can become a star!
(That's a joke.)

Today I ran around taking photos and doing art projects. This is the last outfit of the month, and I know I haven't been wearing mori girl a lot, but I'll try harder to dress up more often. It's just that sometimes I don't really feel like putting any effort into what I wear on a daily basis. Even though I know it's boring, I felt really good while wearing this outfit. I'll have to remember that and maybe that will give me more motivation to dress up in the future.

I'm wearing some stuff from Taobao,
off-brand shoes and cardigan and the
blouse is SM2.

The collar of this blouse is my favorite!

Before I end this blog post I'd like to share some of my toy camera photos. I'm still getting the hang of my digital chocolate camera and I'm accidentally deleting the photos less frequently now. Let's take a look!

This bike was so cute! I kind of want a bike now.

I kind of wish the twig was more centered...

This one came out kinda swirly...

Tree fingers!

If you are still reading this I hope you've had a great day and that you're feeling wonderful because you are wonderful. Take care!

Where Forest Fashion Meets Lolita

My dad came over for a visit and took my best friend and I out to eat. It was the perfect opportunity to throw on the frills, but with a twist! We decided to mix mori girl with lolita and the end results were coordinates that looked as if a prim and proper Victorian lady and gotten lost in the forest and decided that she liked it there. It was the first time my father had seen us wearing anything other than jeans and t-shirts, but his reaction was very positive. He said that we looked pretty, and he even wanted to take our picture. But being the sort of aloof kind of guy that he is, it seems like our choice of attire didn't cross his mind again while we chatted about all things lolita and mori girl in the backseat of his car.

Credits go to my dad for this lovely photo.

My friend always has such wonderful luck finding lovely things. Everything she was wearing was off-brand! Who says you need a closet full of name brand clothing to look fabulous! A lot of her clothes were lucky thrift store finds. What really made her outfit all the more striking were her cute accessories. I really loved her cute rose belt and the compass necklace was a gift that I gave her last Christmas! It looks great on her and I'm glad that she likes it.

A compass so you never get lost :).

I really enjoy that my best friend loves both mori girl and lolita. I think both styles really suit her and I'm so happy that this is just another thing that we share in common.  Our big dream if funds are permitting is to go to Japan together and do a little sightseeing, eat lots of yummy food (hopefully with matcha in it as we are matcha fanatics), and meet lots of awesome people... and probably shop until we pass out somewhere.

Adorable! Don't you agree?

Also, here is a more detailed photo of what I wore as well. Sorry for the lack of shoes, I was kind of lazy and I didn't feel like putting them on.

Dress: Innocent World
Collar, underskirt and tights: Off-brand
Blouse: Forever 21

Thanks for reading! Hopefully my friend and I will have more time to dress up in the future. We are thinking of doing even more themed coordinates together. It's a possibility that we will do a book theme next... but who knows!

A Very Lolita Outing

Lat week my best friend and I decided to go out and have a little fun in our frills. She hasn't been a lolita for long so this is her first coordinate and her first time going out in lolita. She was a little nervous, but surprisingly no one bothered us or said anything negative and the only comments we received were positive ones.

Sometimes our faces turn into hearts... it's perfectly normal.
Just kidding, the sun was in our eyes.

Her dress was from Ebay and her mother made the velvet bow in her hair.

We had a lot of fun. It's still a little chilly here so the first thing we did was drink green tea latte's to warm up. Later, we went out to eat some really delicious Greek food. I couldn't take any photo's until we got back to our apartment, so that explains why the only photos I have are just of us standing around some trees...

Also, here is the rundown of my own outfit:

Dress: Surface Spell
Cross Necklace: A gift from a friend.
Shoes and tights: off-brand
Cutsew: Taobao

My best friend and I are planning on going out and dressing up more often, but we are going to try to do themed outfits. Hopefully next time I'll remember to bring my camera...

Thanks for reading!
